The 2016 Call for Papers is open

Participate in the World's Largest Specialist PV Solar Conference

Dear Member of the Global PV Community,

On behalf of the EU PVSEC Scientific Committee, I warmly invite you to submit an abstract with your latest research results to the 32nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition. The 2016 programme continues the successful format from previous years EU PVSEC provides a unique platform to present new R&D results and analysis, while also encouraging active participation of industry experts, analysts, media and policy makers. Indeed we're proud that the 2015 event was again the wold's largest PV research event with 2538 participants and from 79 countries.

The technical programme layout is basically unchanged, but we've used the feedback from the Scientific Committee and the International Scientific Advisory Committee to improve focus. For example, Topic 4 is now titled concentrator and space systems, and includes III-V cells and devices relevant to both terrestrial and space applications. In Topic 5 we've created a sub-topic on solar resource and forecasting, reflecting the high interest in this specific area. There's also now a sub-topic 6.3 on utility-scale PV systems.

Finally a word on quality, access and impact: each abstract will be scored by three independent reviewers, before the topic organisers select the oral and visual presentations. The proceedings are fully accessible (also to all the major search engines) via the conference website, and each paper is assigned a DOI to guarantee an unequivocal and permanent identification and citability.

Looking forward to receiving your abstract!

Dr. Nigel Taylor

European Commission, DG JRC, Ispra, Italy

Technical Programme Chair, on behalf of the EU PVSEC Scientific Committee

2016 Conference Topics

There are great reasons to get involved in EU PVSEC 2016:

  • be part of the cutting edge of research and innovation for photovoltaics, their application and integration
  • strengthen your network with the PV research community, industry, investors in innovations and policy makers

Contributions are welcome on all aspects of photovoltaics. The Conference will be structured along the following main topics:

Apply for Student Awards 2016

To encourage high-quality work amongst young researchers, the EU PVSEC Students Awards will be presented in recognition of the most remarkable and outstanding research work in the field of Photovoltaics.

Received applications for the EU PVSEC Student awards will be reviewed and scored by the International Scientific Committee, made up of leading research and industry experts from the Global PV Community.

Conference Proceedings

All submitted papers of plenary, oral and visual presentations will be published on-line on the EU PVSEC Proceedings website. The proceedings are indexed by INSPEC.

Citability of Papers

Papers in the conference proceedings are coded by a digital identifier (DOI code) provided by the German National Library of Science and Technology. This guarantees an unequivocal and permanent identification and citability.

Apply for Journal Publication - Partnership with Progress in Photovoltaics

A selected number of the highest scored abstracts from every Conference Topic has been invited to be peer reviewed and published by the renowned scientific journal Progress in Photovoltaics on the occasion of the EU PVSEC 2015. This publication will be in addition to the annual publication in the Conference Proceedings of the EU PVSEC.

The publishing partnership for 2016 is currently under preparation.
