Surfing the green wave

Governments all around the world are not only setting targets for carbon neutrality over a generational time span, but are also committing to making investments to make it happen. Electromobility is increasing and is expected to grow ever faster. Building renovation to reduce energy consumption is gaining increased attention. Investments are being directed towards a sustainable economy and sustainable employment. One technology is at the heart of all these developments - it is of course PV. We also find installations in an ever-growing range of applications, no longer niche - BIPV, Agro-PV, P2X, for example. Meanwhile, the technology continues to advance through exciting work which increases cell efficiencies and introduces new concepts. Our conference covers all the above and more, so please make sure you don’t miss out.

I look forward to seeing you in person once again, in Lisbon in 2021. Keep up the good work!

Dr. Robert Kenny,

EU PVSEC Technical Programme Chair

New peer-reviewed publication options

As well our extensive programme, this year we aim to substantially increase the number of conference papers that may be put forward for publication in peer-reviewed journals. On top of our longstanding collaboration with Progress in Photovoltaics, we also have an agreement in place to publish a selection of our best submissions in Solar Rapid Research Letters. Furthermore, we announce a collaboration with EPJ Photovoltaics to publish a selection of conference highlights in a special edition.

As every year, we will of course continue to publish the fully citable (DOI) conference proceedings immediately following the conference to ensure rapid transmission of your scientific results, whether or not you wish to explore these additional publishing options.

Learn more about the different journals and their publishing features to choose which one is most suitable for your needs.

Seasonal Greetings

We want to take the chance and say thank you to all attendees, friends and supporters of the EU PVSEC. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, where virtual ways of getting together where omnipresent and personal contact was often reduced to a minimum. In times like these, it is even more important to stick together and support each other.

We hope you and your families stay safe and healthy and we wish you all happy holidays and a wonderful start into the year of 2021.
