See you on Monday morning!

Message from the Chair of the EU PVSEC International Scientific Advisory Committee

Climate, Energy and Mobility have key roles in the European Commission’s next research and innovation framework programme, Horizon Europe. The overarching driver is the ambition to achieve climate neutrality in Europe by 2050, entailing the decarbonisation of the energy and mobility sectors. R&I actions will make the energy supply side cleaner, more secure, and competitive by boosting cost, performance and reliability of a broad portfolio of renewable energy solutions, including photovoltaics.

Furthermore, R&I activities are needed to underpin the modernisation of the energy networks to support energy system integration, including the progressive electrification of demand side sectors and integration of other decarbonised energy carriers. Innovative energy storage solutions are a key element of such energy system and R&I actions will advance their technological readiness for industrial-scale and domestic applications.

The Joint Research Centre, the European Commission's science and knowledge service, has supported the EU PVSEC since its inception. JRC research has been informing the ambitious EU targets covering areas such as renewable energy (especially photovoltaics), energy markets and infrastructure, storage, sustainable transport, and climate adaptation and mitigation aspects.

Sponsors & Media Partners

We were overwhelmed by the interest of international partners to collaborate with the EU PVSEC 2020 online. In this exceptional year 2020, we as organisers had to face many challenges. The transformation from an onsite to an online event was something completely new for us. Nevertheless, we always had support from our sponsors and the global media.

Therefore, we would like to thank our sponsors and media partners for their ongoing support!
