Digital Event Platform - what to expect?

As the organizer of the EU PVSEC, it is an important issue for us to preserve our high-quality standards and to create an interesting, vivid online platform for the international PV community.

That is why the EU PVSEC is taking new steps ahead and offers innovative solutions for this complicated year of 2020, in order to provide the most similar experience to an on-site event in the PV sector.

This includes a large number of live presentations, a high level of interaction, parallel events and an exhibition that features live industry sessions. On top of that, the presentations will be available for streaming on demand to all participants for one full month after the conference.

Live presentations with a high level of interaction

  • The plenary and oral presentations are streamed via live feed through the platform and are moderated by two Chairpersons. For a speaker, the experience is similar to a video conferencing tool like teams, zoom or GoToMeeting. They are visible to the audience and can share their screen to perform their presentation. The audience can use the live Q&A chat to ask questions and interact with the presenters.
  • Analogue to other sessions, visual presentations are performed live. Each poster has a sub-page assigned with a live Q&A chat so interaction between speakers and their audience is ensured. Visuals are on display on the virtual poster wall throughout the week. Each author can upload a brief introduction video of their topic which is visible throughout the conference.
  • The EU PVSEC 2020 will again feature various parallel events which take place simultaneously to the conference programme and include the same technical options as plenary and oral sessions.
  • The exhibition consists of virtual showrooms that can be customized by the exhibitors. Not only will the company logo and profile be displayed, but exhibitors can upload a corporate video and link their social media channels. There is a chat box for exchanging with the audience as well as the opportunity to go into direct interaction via our face to face tool.
  • As a unique feature this year, the EU PVSEC 2020 will have an Industry track. It is a virtual streaming room dedicated to Industry presentations. Just like plenary and oral sessions, it is streamed via live feed through the platform and has the same features.

New reduced Registration Fees

We know that 2020 is a very demanding year for everybody. We have invested a lot of time and resources in our platform described to ensure that all our plenary, oral and visual presentations are live and interactive. This ambitious and bespoke platform is significantly more costly than off-the shelf videoconferencing. Nevertheless we have decided to reduce the prices in order to allow as many attendees as possible to participate. We see this contribution as an investment for the global PV community in this exceptional year 2020.

Here is an overview of our new Early Bird tickets until 31 July:

Early Bird Full Week   € 399
Early Bird One Day   € 179
Early Bird Student   € 149
And up to 20% discount on group bookings

Check out our updated pricing.

New this year, for the benefit of the Conference Programme, all designated presenters should be registered by 31 July.

This way we can ensure to offer our PV community a completely fixed Conference Progamme as soon as possible.

Already bought your ticket? Payments that were received up to now will automatically be adjusted and the difference refunded. Your invoice will be reissued.

We also offer registration upgrades – in case you bought a One Day ticket and want to upgrade to a Full Week contact us at [email protected].

We see this as an investment for the PV community and hope to enable more people to take part and share their knowledge about the latest trends in the PV sector. You can be sure that we are devoted to making this year’s online edition a memorable and rewarding experience.

Join us at the EU PVSEC 2020 and be part of a global PV community.
