This year the EU PVSEC will take place online

The EU PVSEC has evaluated many options for a successful 2020 edition in response to the CoVID-19 pandemic and uncertainties regarding the development of the regulations on large events. Since we cannot guarantee an in-person event that is fully compliant with the evolving regulations, the EU PVSEC 2020 will be held entirely online with a full package of interactive features. It will take place on the originally planned dates of 7-11 September 2020.

We are dedicated to making sure this year’s digital experience reflects the identity of the EU PVSEC: The leading platform for the global PV community is to meet and discuss new ideas and concepts and share inspiration. We are currently working on an interactive experience that will focus on live presentations and interaction, including live networking and exhibition features. Details of the full range of virtual interaction options and presentation formats will be communicated very soon once they are finalised.

An online event brings a lot of opportunities for new ways of knowledge sharing and networking. We are certain that these innovations will not only benefit this year’s event but also in-person conferences in the future. We look very much forward to welcoming you to our global digital experience in September!

Kind regards and stay healthy.

Maintaining Momentum

Message from the Technical Programme Chair

In 2020 the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference will be held in the week of 7-11 September. We invite workers in all fields concerned with photovoltaic energy generation to submit abstracts within the 7th February 2020 deadline. The EU PVSEC continues to be the leading platform for the global PV community to meet and discuss new ideas and concepts. The conference maintains at its heart the sharing and development of technical knowledge regarding PV materials, cells and systems. It also sees as essential the dissemination of work that helps ensure rapidly increasing quantities of renewable energy, especially that generated by PV, can be integrated into the current and future energy network.
