Dates: 07 - 11 Sept 2020
Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 18:30 / Friday 08:30 - 13:10
Registration: Open from 1 July - Benefit from Early Bird rates until 31 July 2020

The EU PVSEC is determined to make the best out of the current situation and is transitioning into an online event this year. Therefore, we are thrilled to open our virtual doors to the scientific community in a space designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas and latest advancements. The international Conference Programme is structured in plenary, oral and visual presentations (further details and guidelines on the formats and features particularly for the online event will be published shortly). These cover the entire range of PV research, technologies and applications with a special emphasis on the latest scientific, technological and market-related trends.

  • The conference will be hosted on our platform and will be an interactive live event.
  • There will be several virtual rooms with sessions on different, not clashing topics that take place at the same time.

Plenary and oral presentations*:
The plenary and oral presentations will be streamed via live feed through our platform. You can join in, follow presentations, and ask questions via our sophisticated videoconferencing system.

Poster presentations*:
The poster presentations will be on display on our virtual poster wall throughout the week. Each author will be able to upload a brief introduction video of their topic which is visible throughout the conference and will present their poster during the assigned visual session – just as you would do in an on-site event. Here, visitors can easily pop-in and discuss with you.

Scientific exchange is a cornerstone of a researcher’s life and lies at the heart of our growing community. Therefore, we will ensure to provide various networking opportunities for our participants to get in touch and exchange with fellow colleagues as well as the PV industry.

* Detailed guidelines and instructions for authors and presenters will be published very soon.

With more solar PV capacities installed than any other power technology in recent years and all Market Outlook Scenarios showing strong growth, EU PVSEC extends its focus to applied and policy-orientated topics to reflect this rapid increase. While solar is the most versatile and often lowest cost power generation source in Europe today, EU PVSEC continues to strengthen the importance and potential of solar among global researchers, policy-makers and industry. The opportunity to share your work with and learn from a large online gathering of your fellow experts over a broad range of topics critical to the future energy system is unique to the EU PVSEC. R Kenny2019Maintaining Momentum

In 2020 the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference will be held in the week of 7-11 September. We invite workers in all fields concerned with photovoltaic energy generation to submit abstracts within the 7th February 2020 deadline. The EU PVSEC continues to be the leading platform for the global PV community to meet and discuss new ideas and concepts. The conference maintains at its heart the sharing and development of technical knowledge regarding PV materials, cells and systems. It also sees as essential the dissemination of work that helps ensure rapidly increasing quantities of renewable energy, especially that generated by PV, can be integrated into the current and future energy network.
