Valencia, 6 September 2010 – The 25th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition / 5th World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion (25th EU PVSEC / WCPEC-5) opened its doors on Monday, 6 September 2010. 12 years after the 2nd World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion in Vienna, Austria, it is again Europe’s turn to welcome the global PV community and to host the WCPEC-5. The event expects to attract 4,500 Conference Delegates and around 40,000 visitors for the PV Industry Exhibition. The PV Industry Exhibition will spread over 8 large exhibition halls at the Feria Valencia fairground, covering an exhibition area of 80,000 sqm. 963 exhibitors from around the world will present their new products, technical solutions and services to a global audience.

The event will be hosted by the CCH – Congress Centre and International Fair Hamburg. The Conference will take place during 5 days from 5-9 September 2011, the Exhibition will run over 4 days from 5-8 September 2011.

This year’s 1,817 abstracts represent an increase of 237 in comparison with the previous conference in Hamburg (1,580 abstracts).
