35th EU PVSEC 2018 General Chairman appointed


Dr. Dominique Neerinck, Vice President of Technology and R&D for Renewables at Total’s Gas, Renewables and Power division, is appointed as EU PVSEC 2018 Conference General Chairman following nomination and voting process by the EU PVSEC ISAC - International Scientific Advisory Committee. Dominique Neerinck is active in research in the areas of solar panels, batteries and energy management software. He holds a PhD in solid state physics from the Catholic University of Leuven in the area of thin film deposition technologies. Dominique has a broad industrial and managerial experience in companies such as Philips, Bekaert and Total, in particular in the commercialization and industrialisation of new technologies and managing global R&D organisations.

 

He was president of the Belgian technology organisations Sirris (Belgian federation of the technological industry) and BiR&D (Belgian Industrial R&D Board), and is presently a board member of IPVF (Institut Photovoltaique d’Ile de France) and EIRMA (European Industrial Research management Association). To all those that have not yet submitted: You still have the chance to hand in your late abstracts!


If you wish to submit a late abstract or if you have an enquiry concerning abstract submission for the 35th EU PVSEC 2018, please contact us using the email button below.


Abstracts (1 page + up to 3 explanatory pages) shall be written in English and must include the following sections addressing:

  • Aim and approach used
  • Scientific innovation and relevance
  • Results or preliminary results and conclusions

Becquerel Prize 2018 - Nomination Process


The European Becquerel Prize for Outstanding Merits in Photovoltaics was established by the European Commission in 1989 to mark the 150th anniversary of Alexandre-Edmond Becquerel’s discovery of the photovoltaic effect in 1839, which laid the foundation of both, photovoltaics and photography.
