Solar Industry Forum 2017 organised by EU PVSEC and the Becquerel Institute with the support of SOLARUNITED

  • Solar Industry Forum: a new forum created for C-level PV management
  • A 2-days event that will be held 26-27 September at the RAI Convention and Exhibition Center in Amsterdam rooted within the EU PVSEC.
  • Jointly created by EU PVSEC and the Becquerel Institute with the support of SOLARUNITED

The Solar Industry Forum is a 2-day business oriented, science-driven event that will be held 26-27 September at the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam as part of the 33rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition.

The evolution of the solar technology in laboratories is well understood and the policy aiming at developing the markets is better known. At the same time informing decision-makers within the manufacturing industry, from material suppliers to components producers and equipment manufacturers, remains a challenge.

The Solar Industry Forum is where C-level PV management will meet and examine how to cope with evolving competitiveness conditions, new market players, choices regarding technologies and production capacities that need to evolve rapidly to remain competitive in the growing PV marketplace.

The Solar Industry Forum will be the meeting point for all industry stakeholders to exchange cutting edge information and raise their knowledge about the future of the manufacturing industry in the Solar PV sector. Forum topics:

  • Applying the 4.0 industrial revolution to the PV industry?
  • Innovation and market development: what is the business proposal behind PERC, HJT or IBC in a context of declining prices?
  • Economy of the industry: from manufacturing costs to prices. Cost of ownership?
  • Local vs. global manufacturing, specialization vs. vertical integration
  • The evolution of the Solar PV value chain: new technologies, Asian equipment manufacturers, …
  • Quality & Reliability – remain the keywords for PV development these days
