Becquerel Award 2008

Dear Member of the PV Community
To mark the 150th anniversary of Alexandre-Edmond Becquerel’s discovery of the photovoltaic effect in 1839, the European Commission founded in 1989 the European Becquerel Prize for outstanding contributions to the development of Photovoltaic Solar Energy.
As Chairman of the Becquerel Prize Committee, I’m pleased to announce that the nomination campaign for the year 2008 has been completed. We have received a high level of qualified candidate nominations. The Prize will be awarded during the 23rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference.
Yours sincerely,
Prof. Dr. Adolf Goetzberger
